Established in 1896, The Brisbane Golf Club is a premier golfing destination thanks to the vision of our founding members. With great foresight, these pioneers of Australian golf built an exceptional golf course together with traditions and culture that has created the unique combination of challenging golf with unparalleled fellowship among members. 120 years later, we enjoy the benefits of their enthusiasm and energy every day.

Our heritage-listed Clubhouse stands proud and our members, most importantly, adore our 18-hole championship golf course which is ranked in the Top 100 golf courses in Australia according to Golf Australia Magazine and Golf Digest Australia Magazine. The Brisbane Golf Club is also the only golf course in Australia to have Champion greens, a putting surface installed on over 700 golf courses in the United States. Being the home of the Isuzu Queensland Open compliments our list of recent achievements.

Recently The Brisbane Golf Club was voted Queensland’s favourite golf course and the fourth favourite golf course in Australia by readers of Australian Golf Magazine.

What a weekend of Championship Golf, weather fantastic, course in superb condition, 4 hour rounds, what more could you want!!!

In the main event, Stephen Cox shot a fantastic 31 on the back nine to recover from a little shaky start to post 71 (2 under) a 36 hole total of 141 - 5 under par. Our best qualifying score in quite sometime. Dean Scott continued his fine recent play with a 2 under 71 and our current state representative Lawry Flynn cemented his place in the top 3 with a 1 under 72.

What a Club Championship Match play rounds we have in store in all grades over the next three weeks.

The unofficial qualifying scores are on the website in the members section under Leaderboards and the final official draws will be posted tomorrow on the Home Page of the website under Latest Results.

Our 20-Year Anniversary Trophy was conducted today, with past Associates' President, Mrs Pat McLean, attending to present the trophy which she instigated in 1985 to this year’s 20+ year member, Lynne Conroy. The occasion was especially significant with the presentation of 60-year membership badges to Nyrie Elcock and Margie Maher. Here at the BGC we have an amazing five ladies with 60+ years of membership, four of who still play golf regularly.

It was the B Graders turn at the Club today for their 1st round qualifying for their championship. Peter Morgan is leading the pack with a very good 81, nice playing.

Three players shot 84, Rhett Parker, Chris Webster and Richard Garnham (knows where the tree's are!!!)

With 19 players breaking 90, it will be another close contest to see who makes the 8, look forward to seeing the result next Saturday.
