Established in 1896, The Brisbane Golf Club is a premier golfing destination thanks to the vision of our founding members. With great foresight, these pioneers of Australian golf built an exceptional golf course together with traditions and culture that has created the unique combination of challenging golf with unparalleled fellowship among members. 122 years later, we enjoy the benefits of their enthusiasm and energy every day.

Our heritage-listed Clubhouse stands proud and our members, most importantly, adore our 18-hole championship golf course. Our golf course is like no other and is arguably one of the most improved and talked about. We are ranked in the top 100 golf courses in Australia according to both Golf Australia and Australia Golf Digest magazines. In late 2017 we were voted Queensland’s favourite golf course for the second year in a row and Australia’s fourth favourite golf course.

We are proud to again be host venue for the Isuzu Queensland Open which we have hosted on a record 20 occasions to date and also be the home of the Queensland Academy of Sport.

Our transformation to become Australia’s only ‘Champion’ golf course is now complete and our greens match the very best in Queensland and throughout the country. Whilst our putting surface is exclusive to The Brisbane Golf Club in Australia, the same putting surface can be found on over 700 golf courses in the United States.

In 2017 we became the Division 1 BDGA Pennant winners for the first time since Word War II.

Congratulations to Gary Brodie who won the Club's prestigious Midwinter Medal (the Blackheath) today with a fine two round score of 137. Gary backed up last Saturday's net 67 with a net 70 today in tough conditions to edge out Day 1 Leader Harry Charalambous who shot a very respectful net 72.

Joint Day 1 Leader Ash Holmes shot net 73 to finish one shot off the pace with 138. Paul Brown played consistent golf to finish on 10 and Dan Lowe, Adam Gray and Glen Trimble all played better than their handicap over the 2 rounds with 141.

Good golfing by all.

Our first Nine & Wine for 2018 was held during the week. 16 new golfers were partnered with 16 experienced golfers for a fun 9-hole Ambrose followed by a glass of bubbles and cheese platters on the balcony. Winners were Elaine Egerton and Robyn Shaw with 41 points. Another very successful event, thanks to Joe and the Golf Shop for organising, and Viv and Trisha for assisting. Thanks also to all the members who volunteered to partner a “newbie” for this event.
