Members Golf Trips
The club recently organised a golf trip for 16 of our Members to Capricorn Resort at Yeppoon. We are looking for more golfing locations to visit and will keep all Members posted on further trips.
2011 Holden Scramble local qualifying event
The 2011 Holden Scramble local qualifying event was held at The Club on Monday, 19th September. The day attracted 52 players made up by a mix of Members, Member's Guests and Visiting teams from as far as Dalby Golf Club. This was the first Scramble held at The Club in over 10 years and through the success of this year, is hoped to become an annual event. We have already scheduled next years event for the 7th May (Labour Day public holiday). Our local event winning team consisting of David Padayachee (1), Richard Swann (12), Matthew Forbes (14) & Jordan Lansbury (18) have now qualified for the Regional final at Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club on Monday 24th October.
2011 Holden Scramble Regional Final
Our Brisbane Golf Club team competed in the Regional Qualifying Final for the opportunity to progress to the National Final at Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast. The entire team, assisted by Director of Golf Joe Janison, all performed well finishing a creditable 3rd after shooting a very respectable Gross score of 59 (-13) which resulted in a nett score of 54.7. This was a great result considering the tough course and competition.
