The Brisbane Golf Club recently relaunched the long-time tradition of presenting trophies to the winners of our regular Wednesday and Saturday men’s competitions as well as Honour Board events.
The re-launch has been a success with trophy contributors found for around 85% of these events in 2017.
This year we would like to attract even more trophy donors and we therefore invite your participation.
Our goals remain to add further interest to these events and to generate fellowship, a reputation our Club is known for.
The idea is Members nominate to donate a trophy with a minimum value of $50 for a Wednesday and Saturday men’s competition including 4BBBs or $200 for an Honour Board event. Members can provide their own selected trophies or arrange for the Club to provide a voucher from the Golf Shop.
Please note these trophies will be in addition to the competition prizes already distributed from the competition fees collected by the Club.
Each trophy donor will receive the following recognition:
• The trophy will be on display in the club house prior to the event with details of the event and trophy donor displayed;
• Acknowledgement on The Brisbane Golf Club’s Facebook page.
• Acknowledgement on the booking sheet.
• Acknowledgement at the presentation and an opportunity to bestow the trophy to the winner/s.
I believe it’s a wonderful initiative and ask you give consideration to being a donor.
