It is often referred to as the Blackheath Medal but it’s correct name is the Midwinter Medal in accordance with the wish of the donor, Alfred Schacht of the Royal Blackheath Golf Club in London, the medal was a gift from a member from the oldest golf Club in England to the first golf club in Brisbane.
