Josh is a Golf-specific Sports Chiropractor that specialises in the assessment, treatment, prevention, and performance for golfers of all levels and ages. Along with this, he also works closely with Golf Australia Magazine as their Health and Medical expert.
After graduating from Macquarie University in Sydney with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters in Chiropractic, Josh spent time on the academic staff at Macquarie University teaching whilst maintaining a busy practice caring for people of all ages including many elite professional athletes (predominantly Rugby Union, Rugby League, Golf, and Athletics).
Upon moving to Brisbane in 2010, Josh created Sherwood Chiropractic Clinic – a state of the art modern health care facility that currently has 3 Chiropractors, 3 Massage Therapists, X-Ray facilities, and a large professional network of the best Medical and Allied Health professionals in South-East Queensland.
At this time he also began his post-graduate studies to become a Sports Chiropractor and has furthered his understanding into golf injury and performance through the Titleist Performance Institute (the world’s leading authority on golf-specific health and fitness). At this time, Josh is the only practicing Sports Chiropractor in Australia or New Zealand to hold Level 3 Medical Professional status with the Titleist Performance Institute. This means his knowledge when it comes to the mechanics of the golf swing (especially in regards to injury management/rehabilitation/prevention) is second to none and he travels extensively around the world to work with the world’s best minds in golf health & fitness.
It is Josh’s personal belief that every golfer deserves to be able to play the game they love as long as they want to at their optimal ability. He achieves this for his clients by working closely with their support network (predominantly their Golf Coach) to create the best learning environment possible whilst decreasing their chance of injury and enhancing their overall performance.
His motto is simple – “Move Well, Swing Well, Play Well, Stay Well!”
