The following email contains information about several upcoming events on our golfing calendar.
We have a couple of fun days coming up and our last three Major events for the year.
Guest Day
We have our Guest day on Tuesday, 3 August and this will be a 7.30am shotgun start with morning tea at 7am and lunch to follow. This event will be a 4BBB Stableford. There are still a limited number of spaces left on the nomination sheet. This will close on the Tuesday, 27 July and any spaces left will be opened to players who do not have a guest. I have received a number of emails regarding the groups players would like to join. If you have a certain group you would like to play with email me so I can place you together.
Macartney Cup Foursomes
Qualifying round is on Tuesday, 10 August with 8 players qualifying in two divisions. Division one, half combined handicap of 25 and less and division 2, half combined handicap of 26 and over. If you wish to qualify please tick the “To Qualify” box on your score card. Quarter finals are on Thursday, 12 August, semi finals on Tuesday, 10 August and finals on Thursday, 19 August. If you tick to qualify please make sure you are available for all matches.
Indooroopilly Challenge
The Indooroopilly Challenge will be played at home on Tuesday, 23 August with morning tea at 7.15am and a 8am shot gun start with lunch to follow. This event will be a 4BBB Stableford. The cost to Members will be $35 and this includes golf and lunch. The nomination sheet will open on Monday, 26 July and please add your name and your partner if you have one. The number of games against Indooroopilly will depend on the number of players registered coming from Indooroopilly.
Nellie Hatton MBE Fourball
The qualifying round is on Tuesday, 31 August with 16 pairs to qualify. The first round will be played on Thursday, 2 September, quarter finals on Tuesday, 7 September, semi finals on Thursday, 9 September and the final on Thursday, 14 September. Again if you wish to qualify please tick the “To Qualify” box on your score card and make sure you are available for all matches.
Brisbane Cup – Brisbane Salver
This is an open A Grade event played on Sunday, 5 September alongside the Yeerongpilly Cup. To enter you will need to register on the My Tournament web site. Players with a daily playing handicap of 18 and below will qualify to play.
